Reinventing Waste to Energy

How KEW Technology & Circular Fuels Ltd are reinventing WtE for a sustainable, circular economy.

About the film

In order to realise a world beyond fossil fuels we need to create energy that is affordable, secure and sustainable.

At the world’s first commercial scale plant, KEW Technology & Circular Fuels Ltd are reinventing the WtE (waste to energy) sector, converting waste to produce sustainable energy.

Capable of processing up to 20,000 tonnes of waste a year, that would otherwise be destined for landfill, the plant turns waste products into syngas which is then converted into other forms of fuel and chemicals for use in industries such as transport and aviation.

This flagship facility is a centre of excellence for innovative and emerging technologies. Sustainable Energy centres like this hold the key to harnessing the full potential of waste and creating a circular economy.
